LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The horses aren't the only ones exhausted after the Kentucky Derby.
NBC race caller Larry Collmus says the two minutes of the Kentucky Derby are a blur to him, putting him "in another world."
Collmus says after the race a feeling of euphoria washes over him and the rush keeps him awake the night after the race.
Leading up to the race, Collmus says he has a set of note cards with the names and silks colors of all the runners that he will review ten times a day.
He says that Classic Empire is emerging as the favorite in Saturday's race but says it is still a wide open field.
