The United States Gains 62 New Citizens

LOUISVILLE, Ky  --  Abundant smiles on the faces of people taking the oath of citizenship Thursday at Sacred Heart Academy.

62 people from 31 countries took part in naturalization ceremonies on the Ursuline campus headed by U-S Magistrate Colin Lindsay.

They sang the National Anthem, took the Oath of Citizenship, and then joined together to sing America the Beautiful in the hour long ceremony.

Some of the countries represented were Mexico, Iran, Iraq, and Cuba.  But also Hungary, England, and the Philippines...they now live in Louisville, Bowling Green, Hopkinsville, Rhineyville, and other small Kentucky towns.
