LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Papa John gets some satisfaction weeks after voicing concerns about how U of L athletics is being run.
Interim President Dr. Greg Postel says he's invited athletic director Tom Jurich to be a part of future Board of Trustee meetings, answering a comment made by John Schnatter that the leadership of the department is invisible.
Postel says athletics is also about to undergo their annual financial audit and plans to increase the board's awareness when it comes to athletic spending are set to be discussed.
Postel denied the changes were prompted by Schnatter's comments, saying they were all things he had planned but been unable to take action on since taking the interim presidency in February.
While walking out of the meeting, Schnatter said simply "I'm happy" when asked about the changes.
