NEW YORK, NY -- Speaking to an international group of investors in New York, Gov. Matt Bevin leaks information about a major economic announcement coming on Wednesday. Bevin, touting his Red Tape Reduction effort, says he will be announcing $1.3 billion economic announcement.
Bevin says the only reason he will be making the announcement is because the company is responding to the state's reduction in red tape for business and industry. The governor says the state now has fewer than 400 boards and commissions in the state, down from 571 when he took office.
Gov. Bevin did not divulge any details about the pending announcement. He was speaking to the International Finance and Infrastructure Cooperation Forum.
