LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Louisville healthcare company is taking its talents west.
Passport Health Plan says it will move 500 employees to a new headquarters and wellbeing campus to be built on the old Phillip Morris property at 18th and Broadway.
Passport CEO Mark Carter says the new headquarters will be around 120,000 square feet and will sit right on Broadway with room for retail development on the back part of the lot.
Mayor Greg Fischer says the project is good news for all of Louisville and, unlike the failed Walmart deal, is being done with a local company which already has financing in place.
Carter says he expects the design and construction to take around two years.
