Louisville Bats Preparing For Season Opener

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- After starting last year in the snow, the Louisville Bats may do the same this year.

After dealing with snow outs to start the season last year in Toledo, the Bats will be dealing with the chance of snow and temps in the 40's for their home opener Thursday against Columbus.

Manager Delino DeShields says he's happy with how the team came out of Spring Training in Arizona and with the mix of veterans and new faces on the roster.

He says this year's Bats club will be more athletic and fans should expect to see more stolen bases.

The 7:05 game is the first of a seven game home stand to open the season. You can hear every Bats game on 790KRD.
