LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Churchill Downs has "reinvented" the Clubhouse ahead of Kentucky Derby 143.
The track has wrapped up a $16 million project that has added more space to walk along with more bathrooms, wagering windows and concession options.
The project also converted a warehouse area into a two level Aristides Lounge that will be used as a special area during Derby and Oaks and as the new simulcast facility the rest of the year.
A new sports bar and Gold Room have been added and will share a new balcony that overlooks the paddock.
Track president Kevin Flannery says the project was all done using ideas received from fans after past Kentucky Derby weeks.
