LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Louisville Metro Police officer has died of injuries suffered in a crash during a pursuit.
Officer Nick Rodman, a 3-year veteran of LMPD, died Wednesday afternoon at University of Hospital.
Police Chief Steve Conrad says Rodman's police cruiser was struck by a suspect's car at the intersection of 26th and Duncan streets Tuesday night.
Conrad says the suspect is being treated at UofL Hospital. The unidentified suspect is facing murder and other charges.
Rodman's father and brother are also LMPD officers.
Mayor Greg Fischer says a service to honor Rodman will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Jefferson Square Park in downtown Louisville.
