LOUISVILLE, Ky -- Its one of those really unique festivals the city is known for...this Saturday the Kentucky Guild of Brewers stages the second annual Bock Fest. Bock is a German-style of beer usually released in the spring...the fest staged in NuLu features 13 Kentucky breweries and their bock beers.
Derek Selznick, Executive Director of the Kentucky Guild of Brewers, says its a family event that includes "goat races" (the german word for goat is "bock") as well as live music, food trucks, and food from neighboring businesses. Goat races will be run through "Nanny Goat Strut," and "Billy Goat Strut" alleys in NuLu. The races are hourly starting at 12:30 p.m.
The Bock Fest opens at noon and runs through 7:00 p.m. between the 600 and 700 blocks of East Market Street. Its free and open to everyone.
