LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Mayor Greg Fischer is suspending a Louisville Metro Police youth program following allegations of sexual abuse.
Fischer calls the allegations "extremely disturbing and the case needs transparency from beginning to end."
A 22-year-old man alleges in a lawsuit that he was raped by two police officers when he was a teenage scout in the LMPD Youth Explorer program. The suit was sealed at the request of the man's attorney, who is Metro Council President David Yates.
Mayor Fischer is asking the court to unseal the lawsuit, and he says the police chief is investigating the allegations.
