LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- LMPD releases the video of Wednesday's officer involved shooting in the Russell neighborhood.
Chief Steve Conrad says all three officers at the scene had their cameras on but the focus is on the video of Officer Sarah Stumler.
Conrad says it was Stumler who found 38 year old Bruce Warrick hiding behind a mattress in the living room of a vacant home on Magazine Street.
In the video, you can hear Stumler yell at Warrick to show his hands before she fires a shot that hit him in the stomach. Conrad says a search of the home did not uncover any weapons.
Stumler has been relieved of her police duties pending the outcome of the investigation. Warrick remains at University Hospital with what a family spokesman calls "critical" injuries.
