"Significant Damage" Reported In Wake Of Central Kentucky Storms

RICHMOND, Ky. -- Emergency crews are dealing with high winds and significant damage in three central Kentucky counties.

In Madison County, Kentucky State Police say about 15 mobile homes on U.S. 25 in Richmond were thrown from their foundations. Trooper Robert Purdy says they've had no reports of injuries from the trailer park.

In Estill and Lee counties, KSP says multiple houses have had their roofs blown off with crews looking for a missing homeowner in Lee County.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office says they are finding "heavy damage" in the eastern part of the county but have not received any reports of injuries or missing people.

KSP says they also worked two incidents on I-75 where high winds blew a semi and a camper off the road.

It is currently unclear if the damage was caused by a tornado or straight-line winds.
