FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Kentucky's Attorney General says keeping children safe from sexual abuse is as easy as checking a box.
Speaking in a Twitter video, Attorney General Andy Beshear said the Child Victims' Trust Fund raised more than $160,000 last year.
Those donations went towards paying for nearly 400 child sexual abuse forensic exams in 2016 and training 1200 people to recognize the signs of sexual predators.
Beshear says to support child victims of sexual abuse, Kentuckians can check a box on their tax returns to designate a portion to the CVTF or they can request an "I Care About Kids" license plate at their County Clerk's office.
