McConnell Takes to Senate Floor to Tout Gorsuch

WASHINGTON, D.C.  --  Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell took the Senate floor today to champion the President's nominee for the Supreme Court.  McConnell says Judge Neil Gorsuch will follow in the steps of Justice Antonin Scalia and judge issues on the law and not his personal opinions.

McConnell says Gorsuch knows his role is not as an activist but as someone to apply the law as it is written. The Senator says no Sen. Democrats opposed Gorsuch's appointment to the Court of Appeals including then Senators Obama, Clinton, Biden, and Kennedy.  McConnell asks Democrats to give Gorsuch the same path to the court that Republicans have given Democratic nominees in the past.
