LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- RiverLink reaches a milestone less than a month after tolling starts on the Ohio River.
RiverLink Spokeswoman Mindy Peterson says they've received 200,000 requests for transponders since they announced tolling on December 13th.
Drivers have requested nearly 164,000 RiverLink local transponders and nearly 37,000 RiverLink E-ZPass transponders
. The demand was so high, RiverLink was temporarily out of transponders. They've since re-stocked.
Peterson says she thinks they'll continue getting a steady stream of requests, but now drivers need to remember to keep money in their account. Otherwise, they will not get the lowest tolling rate.
