LMPD Officers Cleared Of Wrongdoing In Arrest Of Protester

(Louisville, KY) - LMPD officers accused of wrongdoing during the arrest of a protester in Jefferson Square Park are being cleared.

Chief Erika Shields exonerated Officer Aaron Ambers and Sergeant Lisa Nagle earlier this week for their actions during the arrest of Denorver Garrett last April during a protest of Breonna Taylor's police-shooting death.

Ambers was cleared of allegedly violating LMPD's policies on de-escalation and use of physical force.

Sergeant Nagle was exonerated of allegations she violated the officer intervention policy.
