(Louisville, KY) - The Louisville Zoo's animals are being vaccinated against COVID-19.

The Zoo started the vaccinations on Friday. The Louisville Zoo is one of 70 zoos to receive the two-stage vaccine from an animal healthcare company.

The Zoo is planning to vaccinate about 30 animals, including all of its apes and cats after some of its snow leopards had the virus last year.
