(Indianapolis, IN) - Indiana is giving people some of their money back.

State Auditor Tera Klutz Wednesday announced the state is going to send about $500 million back to taxpayers through refundable tax credits.

People who filed their taxes as individuals will get about $170, and couples who filed together will get $340.

Lawmakers say the tax refunds are possible because Indiana ended its budget-year with nearly $4 billion in reserves.
