Louisville Archdiocese Changes Mask Directive

(Louisville, KY) - Some Catholics in the Archdiocese of Louisville can return to Mass without a mask.

Archbishop Joseph Kurtz issued a letter Monday saying Catholics who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for at least two weeks can return to church activities without masks.

Kurtz said the updated directive is based on last week's announcement by the CDC about face coverings and Governor Andy Beshear's revised executive order. He told priests they must rely on the honesty of parishioners about their vaccination status.
