(Cincinnati, OH) - Kroger is the latest chain to test out drone grocery delivery.
Kroger and Drone Express are teaming up to offer grocery delivery through autonomous drones. The drone technology will offer package delivery based on the customer's smartphone location.
Kroger says this will allow users to order wherever they are, such as delivering picnic supplies to a park, sunscreen to the beach, or condiments to a backyard cookout.
This week, Kroger will begin testing at its location in Centerville, Ohio with a second launch scheduled this summer at a Ralphs store in California.
