(Washington, DC) - Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell says Democrats are itching to expand the Supreme Court for political purposes.
He spoke on the Senate floor and referenced a bill from some Democrats to expand the high court from nine-to-13 justices. McConnell called it court-packing.
McConnell also criticized President Biden's new commission on judicial reforms, calling it a shallow attempt to support court-packing.
There is a six-to-three conservative majority on the Supreme Court.
