(Daytona Beach, FL) - Michael McDowell is picking up the first win of his cup series career at the Daytona 500.
McDowell surged ahead on a final lap caution after Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski wrecked to win The Great American Race.
The race had been pushed late into the evening following severe weather in the day.
Chase Elliott finished second while Austin Dillon took third. Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick rounded out the top five.
