(Frankfort, KY) - The Kentucky Department of Public Health is now recommending schools hold off on re-opening for in-person classes until January 11th instead of January 4th. That was according to Governor Andy Beshear on Monday.
Beshear also recommended that schools that are in color-coded high-risk coronavirus areas operate under a hybrid-learning model; schools in "red zone" counties are being advised to pursue a quote "more aggressive" hybrid model or consider sticking with remote learning.
In-person learning was shut down across the state in late November due to a surge in coronavirus cases.
