Single-Day Record Increase In Kentucky COVID-19 Confirmed Cases

(Frankfort, KY) - A single-day record increase in confirmed coronavirus cases has been reported in Kentucky.

Governor Andy Beshear announced 273 new confirmed COVID-19 cases Sunday, along with four new deaths.

Beshear says the state is not close to meeting the benchmarks needed to reopen Kentucky's economy and public gathering spaces.

The governor has indicated that the state must be in a 14-day decline in confirmed cases before measures can be taken to start lifting restrictions.

The total number of cases is now over 2,900 in the state.
