Indiana Governor Updates, Extends Stay-At-Home Order To May 1

(Indianapolis, IN) - Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb is clarifying and extending the state's stay-at-home order.

As the state's PPE supply remains adequate, the governor says hospitals can now perform elective medical procedures "in a staged way." Starting Tuesday, hospitals can conduct clinical procedures to address medical conditions.

Holcomb also says businesses like nurseries, green houses and pet groomers can reopen. He credits residents' response to the coronavirus pandemic and Indiana's health care system for allowing some aspects of the state to reopen.

Indiana is also reporting 505 new cases of the virus with seven deaths.
