(Louisville, KY) - The Louisville Metropolitan Sewer District says they're seeing a 50-percent increase in sewer backups right now.
This is partially due to people being at home because of COVID-19, but that's not the only reason.
The group's communication program manager says people are flushing things like grease, dental floss and wipes right now.
With the current toilet paper shortage people are able to use wipes and tissue, but they're being asked to throw them out instead of flushing them down.
