(Louisville, KY) - A federal judge is blocking a ban on drive-in church services in Louisville.
Mayor Greg Fischer had issued the order in an attempt to limit the spread of COVID-19. However, it was quickly criticized with church leaders saying it violated their constitutional rights.
U.S. District Judge Justin Walker issued a temporary restraining order Saturday. He wrote an American mayor criminalized the communal celebration of Easter.
Walker said the mayor's decision was stunning and called it unconstitutional.
