(Louisville, KY) - Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is criticizing the mayor of his hometown for a ban on churches holding drive-in services on Easter Sunday.
The Kentucky Republican's letter to Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer says that it's important to respect and protect the constitutional rights of citizens.
McConnell wrote that he believes churches should follow CDC guidelines and supports temporary government regulations. However, he said the government should not prohibit religious gatherings that comply with CDC guidelines.
