(Washington, DC) - One Republican senator wants Tax Day to be delayed by three months amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Rand Paul of Kentucky tweeted Monday he wants people to file their taxes on July 15th instead of the current deadline of April 15th.
Paul also wants late payment interest and fees to be waived. He explained his reasons for the proposal, saying "this will allow those who owe money not to have to send it during our current situation."
