Army Selects Fort Knox As New Headquarters

(Fort Knox, KY) - Hundreds of U.S. soldiers will soon be calling Kentucky home.

The Department of the Army announced Tuesday Fort Knox will be the new headquarters for the fourth corps, which will be called Fifth Corps. It will bring over 600 additional soldiers to the state.

Senators Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul, along with Congressman Brett Guthrie campaigned for the move, telling the Army Fort Knox already had the capacity to handle its needs.
