(Washington, DC) - Reports say Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is angry at the White House over an explosive manuscript by ex-national security adviser John Bolton.
The New York Times reported Sunday that the upcoming book includes a charge by Bolton that Trump told him he wanted Ukranian military aid withheld until that country helped in investigations to damage Democrats.
Bolton's lawyer told The Times he had provided a copy of the book to the Trump administration on December 30th, so it could be reviewed for classified information.
McConnell's spokesman told the Courier-Journal that the Kentucky Republican "did not have any advance notice" that the National Security Council reportedly had a copy of the manuscript for weeks.
President Trump has refuted Bolton's account.
