(Louisville, KY) - The Jefferson County Public School Board's policy committee is reviewing a new security procedures.
At a meeting Tuesday night, the committee looked over the first draft of the School Safety Officer Standard Operating Procedure Manual.
The committee will now consider approving or changing certain details, including the number of annual training hours security officers will need to complete, if they will carry firearms, and if they will wear standardized uniforms.
The committee will reconvene in two-weeks to finish its recommendations before holding a vote for the full board.
