(Indianapolis, IN) - Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb says he wants to pay teachers across the state more, but they'll have to wait till next year.
The governor used his State of the State speech Tuesday night to suggest a $115 million investment in teacher pay. But he wants to wait until lawmakers write a new, two-year state budget next year.
Holcomb also said in his speech that he wants to raise the smoking and vaping age in the state, and see lawmakers pass a hands-free cell phone law for drivers.
