LOUISVILLE, KY. -- A Twitter war erupts between the Governor and Mayor of Louisville over a protest at Mitch McConnell's house.
In a contentious exchange, Governor Bevin asks Mayor Greg Fischer to "stop embarrassing the city of Louisville and Commonwealth of Kentucky" by allowing the two dozen protesters to assemble on McConnell's lawn. Fischer retorted "we allow for peaceful assembly and freedom of speech" and he's sorry if that embarrasses the governor. Fischer goes on to say he sides with those calling on McConnell to call the Senate back in session to address gun control, prompting Bevin to ask if Fischer stands with "those who are chanting death threats and calling for the massacre" of the Majority Leader.
