(Memphis, IN) - One man is dead after an officer-involved shooting in southern Indiana.
It happened Tuesday afternoon at the Love's Truck Stop in Memphis.
Charlestown police say the suspect, 62-year-old Stephen Fischer, fired his gun into the pavement and then refused to surrender. After a brief standoff, an officer shot and killed Fischer.
The Indiana State Police are investigating the shooting.
