(Louisville, KY) - Senator Rand Paul wants to see reforms to the federal criminal justice system.
Sen. Paul held a forum in Louisville Monday to talk about possible changes he says will make a difference, especially for African-Americans who are locked up at a higher rate than others.
Some of those participating in the forum questioned if the way laws are enforced have a racial component.
Paul said there are nearly a dozen criminal justice reform bills in the works he hopes will create a more fair system in response to the injustices caused by the three-strikes law.
