(Elizabethtown, KY) - First responders are issuing a warning after a tragedy was narrowly avoided in Elizabethtown.
E-Town Police say a seven-year-old boy was found in distress on Sunday after being left inside a car while his father went shopping.
They say the boy was in the car for almost 40 minutes while the temperature outside was nearly 80.
The child's father has been charged with endangerment.
