(Frankfort, KY) - Governor Matt Bevin is putting the responsibility for drumming up pension bill votes on Kentucky legislators.
Bevin said Thursday that lawmakers have the ability to get the legislation passed if they work at getting the votes.
He unveiled the new bill in late April and is anticipating calling a special legislative session to pass it.
State Senate Majority Leader Damon Thayer said later that it was Bevin's responsibility to propose and promote the new bill after the governor vetoed a previously passed measure.
