(Louisville, KY) - A fatal crash has shut down the Watterson Expressway Wednesday morning.
It happened in the eastbound lanes of I-264 under the Breckenridge Lane overpass at about 7 a.m.
Louisville Metro Police say a garbage truck struck the rear end of a minivan which then struck the rear end of a beer truck.
The driver of the minivan, a female was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the garbage truck and the beer truck were not injured.
The Watterson Expressway is expected to be shut down for much of the rest of Wednesday morning.
