(Louisville, KY) - Jefferson County Public Schools is canceling classes Thursday.
JCPS announced the closure late Wednesday evening due to teachers calling out.
The district said it doesn't have enough substitutes to safely cover the classes.
The teacher absences come after a Kentucky teachers group called for a sickout due to legislation reorganizing the board of trustees for the teachers retirement system.
