Kentucky Will Allocate $20 Million To Upgrade State Parks

(Carrollton, KY) - Kentucky will use $20 million in funds to upgrade state parks.

Governor Matt Bevin met with the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet as well as state park officials Friday to start the second phase of the state's Refreshing the Finest initiative.

The money will be used to replace lodge roofs, upgrade camping areas and fix swimming pools.

The program first started three-years-ago and officials say the upgrades have yielded a $7 million revenue boost for the state parks system since then.
