(Louisville, KY) - The Louisville Pride Parade honoring Civil Rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., is set for Monday morning.
The parade started 47 years ago in 1972. Dr. King was known to visit Louisville often and his brother A.D. King was the pastor at Zion Baptist Church.
The parade starts at 11 o'clock at the corner of 20th and Broadway with the event wrapping up at Hughlett Temple A.M.E. Zion Church.
