(Washington, DC) - Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says President Trump's proposal for a border wall "suits the reality on the ground."
The Kentucky senator released a response on Twitter Tuesday night to Trump's address on illegal immigration.
McConnell said a physical barrier is what Border Patrol experts are asking for and called on Democrats to negotiate with Republicans in an effort to end the partial government shutdown, now entering its 19th day.
