LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Former Kentucky Auditor Adam Edelen has officialy declared his candidacy for governor.
He made the announcement in Lexington with running mate Gill Holland, a Louisville businessman.
Edelen says he wants to "put Kentucky back into the opportunity business."
He joins Attorney General Andy Beshear and House Minority Leader Rocky Adkins in the Democratic primary.
Republican Governor Matt Bevin has said he will seek re-election, but has not yet filed the paperwork.
