(Orlando, FL) - Benny Snell Jr. ran for 144 yards and two touchdowns as Kentucky held off Penn State 27-24 in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.
Snell was named MVP of the game in his final contest as a Wildcat.
Lynn Bowden Jr. returned a punt 58 yards for a score in the first quarter as the 14th-ranked Wildcats built a 27-7 lead.
All-American linebacker Josh Allen contributed 3 sacks and blocked a field goal.
Kentucky finishes the season 10-3. This is the first time the Wildcats have won 10 games in a season since 1977.
Trace McSorley threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for another for the 12th-ranked Nittany Lions, who scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to make it close.
Penn State ends the season 9-4.
