LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Louisville City FC has found a builder for its new soccer stadium.
It will be a joint venture. Messer and Harmon construction companies were selected to build the $65 million stadium in the Butchertown neighborhood.
The two contractors also teamed up to build the Adidas expansion at Cardinal Stadium.
Construction of the soccer stadium begins this week and is scheduled for completion in 2020.
The 11,300-seat stadium is the centerpiece of a planned $200 million mixed-use development adjacent to Waterfront Park.
