Kroger Shooting Suspect Indicted on Federal Hate Crime Charges

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The alleged Kroger shooter has been indicted on federal hate crime charges.  

A grand jury returned a six-count indictment against Gregory Bush, who is accused of killing two people at the Kroger grocery in Jeffersontown last month.   Bush is white.   The victims were black.

The charges include shooting and killing two people based on their race or color.   

U.S. Attorney Russell Coleman says a decision has not been made on whether prosecutors will seek the death penalty against Bush.

Bush has pleaded not guilty to state charges and is in jail on $5 million bond.
