LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Crews are racing the clock to get the expanded Cardinal Stadium ready for game day.
With the first home game Saturday night, crews are finishing seat installation and getting the new club areas ready.
Athletic Director Vince Tyra says workers will finish up late Friday afternoon with a crew of around 150 taking over after that to get the stadium ready for fans Saturday night.
Tyra says all of the club and luxury seats are sold and about 90 percent of the regular seating is sold for the Indiana State game.
He says the project added just over 5,400 seats to the stadium capacity.
Tyra says the next project for the stadium will be the replacement of the sun faded pink seats. He says there is currently no timetable for that project.
