NCAA Approves Allowing Undrafted Basketball Players To Return

(Indianapolis, IN) - The NCAA is making major changes to college basketball in the wake of an FBI investigation.

It will allow some college and high school players to hire agents.  Also, if a player who declared for the NBA draft is not drafted they will be able to return and play.  The changes go into effect this year.

To be eligible for an agent, college players must first request an evaluation from the NBA Undergraduate Advisory Committee.

High school players must be identified as an elite senior prospect by USA Basketball.

A Condoleezza Rice commission was formed after an FBI probe into shoe companies paying coaches suggested the changes.  Rice was Secretary of State under President George W. Bush.
