(Louisville, KY) - The head of Jefferson County's public schools says he will let the state know soon if the district will accept a settlement to avoid a state takeover.
JCPS Superintendent Marty Pollio says school leaders will make a decision in the near future about the offer from Kentucky's education commissioner.
The settlement would avoid a full state takeover of Jefferson County schools, but would give state education leaders more say over day to day operations and reportedly even some lesson plans.
